Bathrooms need to be both practical and luxurious. We spend a surprising amount of time in our bathroom showering, pampering ourselves, applying makeup and all manner of other personal grooming tasks.

Here are five simple ways to update your bathroom. Some of these tasks you can do yourself; others will require a plumber or bathroom fitter. Nevertheless, they are all worthwhile!
Replace the Taps
Old-fashioned taps encrusted with limescale can really date a bathroom. If our customers ask us what the easiest and most cost-effective way to modernise a bathroom is, we recommend replacing the taps. Modern taps are far more stylish than older taps. Luxurious waterfall-style taps will transform even the plainest of bathrooms. This is also a job you can do yourself if you have some basic tools and a bit of DIY know-how.
New Tiles
Tiles stuck in the 70s and 80s will drag a bathroom down. Remove those hideous tiles and replace them with plain white metro tiles or some attractive travertine marble-effect tiles. If replacing all the tiles is a step too far, at least give the grout a refresh.
Modern Matki Showers
If you have enough room, consider adding a walk-in shower to your bathroom. Walk-in showers are the height of luxury and will give your bathroom a boutique hotel vibe.
